Text Messaging (SMS) Disclosure
When you give us your mobile phone number, you agree to receive text messages from Barkats Dental LLC. We send these messages using Dental Intelligence, our patient communication platform.
Types of messages you may receive
• Appointment confirmations and reminders
• Links to complete new-patient or updated paperwork
• Text-to-pay and billing reminders
• Notifications about available appointment openings
How often we text you
Message frequency varies based on your appointment and account activity. Most patients should expect no more than about 8 messages per month, though you may receive more around the time of a scheduled visit.

Texting is optional
You do not have to agree to receive text messages to receive treatment or any service from Barkats Dental LLC.
Carrier disclaimer
Barkats Dental LLC and participating wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
How to opt out
Reply STOP to any text message at any time to stop receiving text messages from us. You'll get one final message confirming you've been unsubscribed. Reply HELP for help, or contact us directly using the information below.

Privacy Policy
Information we collect
We collect the personal information you give us, such as your name, mailing address, phone number, email address, and appointment details, so we can provide dental care and communicate with you about your visits and account.
How we use your information
We use your information to schedule and confirm appointments, send reminders, share forms you need to complete, process payments, and let you know about appointment openings. We do not use your information for any purpose unrelated to your care and our communications with you.
We do not share or sell your information
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in consent and your mobile phone number will not be shared with any third party or outside organization, except as described below.
We only share your information in these limited situations:
• With service providers who help us run our practice and text messaging program, such as Dental Intelligence — these providers may only use your information to provide services to us, not for their own purposes
• When required by law, court order, or a government request
• With your clear, separate permission
• As allowed under HIPAA for treatment, payment, and healthcare operations (see our HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices, available at our office)
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information or phone number to any other business or organization for their own marketing use.
How we keep this promise
To make sure your information stays within our practice, we:
• use Dental Intelligence only to send and manage appointment-related texts on our behalf
• limit access to your contact and health information to authorized staff members
• never add your phone number to outside mailing or marketing lists
• require our vendors to agree, in writing, not to share your information with anyone outside our practice without your consent
Your right to opt out
You may opt out of our text messaging program at any time, for any reason, with no effect on your ability to receive dental care from us.
To opt out of future text messages, you can:
• Reply STOP to any text message from us, or

• Let our front desk know at your next visit
Opting out of texts does not opt you out of phone calls, mail, or other communications from our office unless you separately ask us to stop those as well.
Protected health information (HIPAA)
Your dental and medical records are separately protected under HIPAA. Ask our front desk for a copy of our HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices, which explains in detail how we handle your protected health information.
Keeping your information secure
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect the personal information you share with us.
